Gurudev began the Prison Program in 1990, to provide prisoners with an opportunity to reintegrate into the mainstream society, and heal themselves of their past trauma. The project also features programs for law enforcement officials.

The mission of the Prison Program is prisoner rehabilitation – to make a life-transforming difference in the lives of  people within the criminal justice system.  The Prison Program teaches skills for reducing stress, healing trauma, and providing practical knowledge of how to handle one’s emotions. Programs have benefited more than 800,000 participants and are offered in over 65 countries across the world.
