Speaking at the launch of Elyments social media app in Kannada language, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said, “People of Karnataka are always peace loving. Kannadigas are peaceful by nature. This is not only our pride but also our greatness. On this Diwali day, we have inaugurated the Elyments app in Kannada. The app is developed in India and the data does not go outside the country. Everyone has supported it. It is our duty to protect our land. And to do this well, it is important to remain pure both inside and outside us. Meditation is the only way to end the agitation in our minds. Let us stop the suffering in others. It is our duty to contribute to a healthy society. We should all take responsibility for it.”

Hon Chief Minister, Karnataka state, Shri Basavaraj S Bommai lauded the organization for teaching people ways to enhance the quality of life, and helping them find answers within. “What we have is civilization and what we are is culture,” said Hon. Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sri Basavaraj S Bommai, “While most are used to mechanical methods of living, Sri Sri teaches basics of Art of Living. He is an innocent Guru. He has devotees in all 154 countries because the language of Art of Living is universal, it is one of unconditional love. One who is a real bhaktha (devotee) easily understands The Art of Living.” He spoke about how mankind instead of dropping various identities and desire for positions to merge and unite with the divine, is busy in running after more identities and labels. He also encouraged the audiences to keep questioning life. “Life is mysterious but we don’t want to know why. To demystified life we need to come to The Art of Living,” he said.

Among the dignitaries present at the launch of Elyments super app was Shri Rockline Venkatesh, popular Kannada film producer and actor. He pointed out that having a fully home grown social media app in India was a matter of great pride.

Elyments is a chat and calls app, made in India for the world. The most reliable feature of the app is that unlike social media apps developed outside India, here the users’ data stays in India and cannot be misused. For the first time ever, the app is now available in Kannada. In Elyments, one can chat securely with friends and family, create chat groups of up to 300 people, place HD quality audio/video calls, and share voice notes, GIFs, and other media files with friends. The app is fully optimized for Kannada users. The app has been developed by a 1000 Indian IT professionals with an objective to provide an overarching social networking platform that is owned and run in India. The nation’s top privacy professionals have been guiding the design of the product.

“The sovereignty of Indian cyberspace is of paramount importance,” said Rajesh Krishnamurthy, project lead, Elyments App, “At a time when privacy of user data is seen as very important, we have already ensured that data of users will be stored in India. In addition, the concept of a social networking super-app is unique. Elyments is an app which will demonstrate that Indian apps are capable of a sleek user interface and high performance. Robustness and usability are our key focus areas. We are committed to acting on user feedback.”
