Ayodhya: Two main Muslim petitioners support out-of-court settlement  

Main Muslim petitioners, Haji Mehboob and Mohammad Umar have signed a statement calling for an out of court settlement. The Imam of Kevda Masjid, Ayodhya, and Imam of Tedhi Bazaar Masjid, Ayodhya, have also signed the statement.

As efforts continue for an amicable solution, main Muslim petitioners in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit case have come out in support of an out of court settlement as proposed by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and recommended by the Supreme Court of India. Haji Mehboob and Mohammad Umar have signed a statement calling for an out of court settlement. The Imam of Kevda Masjid, Ayodhya, and Imam of Tedhi Bazaar Masjid, Ayodhya, have also signed the statement.

In a meeting held in February 2018, eminent members of the Sunni Waqf Board, All India Muslim Personal Law Board and others had also expressed support for the out of court settlement.
